Healthy children are happy children

The staff team are working together to ensure that we take a whole setting approach to health and wellbeing, including promoting physical development, nutrition, oral health, emotional wellbeing, and safety.

The benefits of childhood nutrition are enormous; a nutritious diet provides your child with good eating habits for life, healthy skin, a healthy weight and improved behaviour.

We provide nutritionally balanced and home-cooked meals. Our menus are designed by the nursery chef and a paediatric dietician to meet the needs of each age group. We ensure that all of the children receive the recommended daily allowance of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats and fresh fruit and vegetables. Our recipes are made fresh with whole foods such as whole grain pastas, rice and bread, fruit and vegetables, dark leafy greens and legumes.

We stay away from refined and processed foods. Whole foods provide the children with the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that they need.

We cater for all allergies, intolerances, preferences, cultural and dietary needs.

Our nursery chef

Georgia, our nursery chef, is passionate about providing delicious, nutritionally balanced, home-cooked food for all the children and promoting a healthy diet and lifestyle.  She prepares all the meals fresh on the premises each day, and loves to hear the children’s feedback when they have tasted her delicious food.  Georgia also runs ‘Cookery Club’ teaching the children about the ‘farm to fork’ cycle. Georgia has an NVQ Level 3 in Allergens and Food Hygiene and wants to continue her training to one day become a nutritionist.
